Caller said that they were from some veterans somethingorother and that the call would be recorded. I said "Great, so you have my voice recorded saying 'do not call me again'" and hung up. Can't remember the exact organization, but last time I checked, I have nothing to do with any veterans.

Absolutely a scam. I didn't answer the call (as I never do unless I recognize the number) and no voicemail was left. When I called back from a blocked number, I got a pre-recorded message saying "We're sorry, your call did not go through. Would you please try your call again". If they're saying per some of the other posts here that they are a Veterans group looking for donations, well then they're only about the 3,000th group of scam morons that have tried to fool people with that scheme (really, I know these scum of the earth are not bright, but come up with your own unique scam idea so I can at least be entertained before I block your number permanently).
