Who called from 6172740750

Just got this call; caller id said "BOSTON."  This is a great dilemma for me because I have a lot of doctors in Boston, BUT we also have gotten a SLEW of "Switch Your Electric Provider" attempted SLAMMING calls that come in and just say "Boston."

I let it go to ans. machine, and no message was left, a clue that it is likely spam.  Otherwise don't why I'd be getting a 'wrong #' from anyone, long distance.  Seems unlikely.
Also a lot of other SIMILAR 617-274-xxxx numbers that come up as SPAM when you google THIS number, but so far, no info available on this one, yet.

Anyone else get a hangup call from this #?  Anyone answer and find out what angle their using???

Just had my spouse call from their work phone to see who this is/what they are up to.

Phone answered with a recording: "We called you to conduct a survey.  We will call you later."

SPAM using the "survey" loophole/RUSE to circumvent the DNC list rules.
CRIMINALS.  BLOCK.  Report.

Suspect this is related to the long string of calls we've been getting for THREE MONTHS hawking "Lowered Electric Rates" similar to the "Lowered Interest Rates" SCAMS of years past.  Other #s they use are:

TIME WARNER CABLE was running ADS for these kinds of things:  Switch your electric provider and Home Solar Panels.  Suspect they are selling the names and phone numbers of their subscribers to their advertisers for telemarketing, even though that is illegal.  But, of course, the mega corporations think they can get away with anything short of murder, I guess.  Thing is, we were getting few to NO calls on our other lines about this, only the one phone number connected to our cable bill.

When I finally pointed that out to the DNC list in my complaints.....the calls stopped within a few days!
