Just spoke with this guy today. It seems as though it's a scam to get money from each person and if you multiply it by 100 people at an average of $200 per person = $20,000. Go figure. Why San Diego for some, which is very close to where we live, but they want me to go to Miami????
Actually this #, 617-274-3009 is part of an add for a project manager position on Careerbuilder.com stating to call a VP at this #. I called the #, left a message as directed and within an hour received a call back. He asked a few basic questions and said someone would call back tomorrow AM, (today).
He called back and gave me some basic info. His name is Jeff Landry working for Novomatic Corp out of Europe. They build and maintain casinos that only cater to the rich and famous. They're building 3 of them in the islands south of the Bahamas. He said he's going into a meeting to discuss potential hires and will call me back later this morning but mentioned that if selected, they'll want me to fly to San Diego for an interview. I thought that was a little strange.
Each time he's called me, it shows as a restricted #.
After reading some other posts, I'm really disappointed that this turns out to be a scam. I'm curious to see what he has to say when he calls back.
i just got a call back from this guy also and he wants me to pay half for a ticket and i saw a few more posts and its a scam wow people are crazy please give me a call 954 448 3106 lm calling my brother in the FBI and he will take care of this
Yes, I got the same thing when he called me back earlier. He wanted me to pay half of the round trip ticket to San Diego for an interview next Thursday. That's when I told him I wasn't interested in his scam and he called me a jerk and hung up on me.
I just hope nobody buys into his BS. I also hope he gets his.
I had exactly the same experience with this joker yesterday. I was skeptical about his legitimacy right from the start. The job sounded good, however, all my red flags went up when he called me back from a "private number" and he talked so fast that it sounded like he worked in a boiler room. I am willing to bet that this is some sort of scam to get your social security number. I would not be surprised if this guy was in jail while doing this. It seemed odd to me that he had to ask some questions and then call back at specific times. I hope your FBI connection goes to work on this scum bag. Not only is he running a scam; he is also taking advantage of people who are legitimately looking for a job.
I have received 3 phone calls from larry Kent and is suppose to call me back to give me flight information to go to Florida for a final interview...So far each time he has called me at the times he had indicated and was suppose to call me @ 11:30 and now 11:41 - No biggy there - I had some of the same concerns that this is not a good thing going on and too good to be true - How can you qualify someone who has never seen your resume and only asks some basic questions....Well we will see if he calls back and what is to take place with the flight information etc. I am not keeping my hopes up at all...Why make your number private does not make sense.....
