I'm wondering if this is reportable to the DNC. Are businesses allowed to be cold call solicited? Can they register with the DNC? Seems like a slam dunk for getting the fined, if no/yes to above.
This number called our business today at 1158 hours. Caller ID said simply "Cambridge MA" so I was leery. The guy asked to speak with the person in charge of the telephone and internet. I asked who he was supposed to be. He said he was Chris calling from Spectrum. "Spectrum? As in Charter?" He affirmed that was the case. I made a scoffing noise and told him, "Forget it." We have Charter for our television and find them overpriced and of crappy quality. Why would I subject myself to more lousy service and give Charter even more money? No thanks.

Guess who called again? This time today at 1055 hours. The guy asked for the boss by first name, obviously hoping to imply they're buddies or have a previous association. I asked who's calling and he told me "Mike" from "Charter Spectrum." I told him, "Stop calling," and slammed the phone back down. Man! They've suddenly become as pesky as scam artists. What part of "not interested" do they not understand??
