Was unable to block this 11 digit # (617-332-10878) with my wireless provider. It rings a time or two a day right now. Very bothersome. I accidently answered it once and the caller hung up. Wireless provider is checking on way to block.
Quick update from wireless provider. Gave me the name of an app (Mr. Number) that allows me to block all #'s (I could select the 11 digit # from my recent call list). The app is supposed to keep a record of the blocks. I'll post again if it works. This is only good for a smart phone (android, iphone, etc.) that will accept the apps.
I received at least 6 phone calls from this number. The most recent was Jan. 7 at 4:27pm. The 'missed call' screen on my phone shows that the call is supposedly from Australia. I did not answer the call. The number is not known to me.
I too found that this number is an Australia number but I also found that any one from any country can register to have an Australia number. I believe that these people have multiple lines listed from different locations so when you manage to get one number blocked they call from a different line. I plan on reporting this to have it investigated by authorities. Unfortunatly most cell phone companies can not block these calls as of yet.
