This is not the DEA, they are not special agents. They will yell, place threats and tell you they are coming to arrest you. Then they want money to stay away. Block this number from your phone. It is a card scam operation. Be careful. They sound very convincing people. Report this to authorities. Do not give personal info. They are low life for doing this. You are getting these calls if you have ever made an online purchase.
It has been months now since I have received very threatening phone calls. they called my house my cell threatened to have us marshalls arrest me. I was upset at first and then I knew it had to be a scam, my husband and the man yelled at each other. the caller was threatning and my husband told him we knew it was a scam we had contacted the dea and if they still wanted to arrest me he told them to go ahead and come with the warrant. We would be ready... that was the end of it. The number was 703-537-1417 how bunch of jibberjabish about special agents etc...even had fake badge numbers. Every time they called I called the DEA hotline and left a message. Days maybe even a week later the real DEA did call and told my husband they were aware of the problem and guaranteed it was being looked into.
Well that was probably 4-6 weeks ago. The phone calls stopped. (Thank Goodness)
But today September 25th I received another call from 617-391-7213 stating I need to call him back it is very important they were investigating something couldn't make it out. He was foreign just like the previous calls but this guy didn't say he was with the DEA he said some kind of industries or something I could not make it out. He was cutting in and out and the entire message was not clear. Becareful this is an epidemic!!!
I received one of these harassing calls. They appear to be using Ctc Communications out of Medford, MA for their VOIP calls. I suggest anyone who gets one of these types of calls alerts this company. I've already done so and threatened legal action if I continue to receive these fraudulent calls.
