received a call from this number, answered and they said they were from AARP, when I tried to explain to him that I was on the no call list and did not want anything from them, he preceded to hang up on me!
I received a telephone call this afternoon by someone "from AARP" about a short survey. I specifically asked "are they calling for AARP" and got a "yes" response.
The survey questions seemed a little bogus. Plus in the end the caller wanted my email address "for followup and updates". I then realized this was no AARP phone call.
