Got a call from this number today. They told me that I recently signed up to receive a $500 check and they wanted to reward me for my interest. I stupidly fell for it and got signed up for 5 magazine subscriptions, gas vouchers, a "diamond" watch, and will be getting charged $68.28/ month for 19 months. After getting off the phone with them and realizing that they never gave me a company name and spoke their phone number so fast I couldn't write it down. I tried to call the number back to tell them I was no longer interested and it told me the number was invalid and doesn't exist. They had my credit card info and all my personal information and nothing occurred to me til I was off the phone. They did tell me I had 3 days to call them and cancel if I changed my mind. But without a valid phone number, that's obviously not going to happen. Now I have to fight with my credit card company to stop this scam or wait til they charge my credit card and hope a phone number and company name is listed. But by then it will be past the 3 days and I will have to fight them over it. DO NOT FALL FOR THIS!!! They spoke so fast and got me so confused I agreed before realizing what I was doing. PLEASE DO NOT LET YOURSELF GET TALKED INTO THIS EMBARRASSING SCAM!
received several calls from this and another number 315.567.3622 and in both cases, when I do a reverse lookup, they both come up as from someplace in NY...didn't answer either and they didn't leave a message..
Called to say I was entered in some $50,000 sweepstakes from having a Mastercard or American Express card... I had neither and so he went on to state it must be from owning a Visa, etc etc. Quite amusing as I only own a debt card, have a thing about being in-debt, and have had it for years with no actual credit card at all. Doesn't make sense that it'd reward people for either or, types of credit cards, when the companies arn't the same. Said all I had to do was follow some type of instructions to be entered but that's pretty much where I said I wasn't interested, lol. I could sooo tell he was using a fake accent while he spoke , terrible, if I may say so, from the beginning and it's what really had me double checking. Anyways I said I wasn't interested and he tried to keep me on the phone by stating, "Are you really going to throw away $50,000?". First off I hadn't won anything, I technically wasn't entered until I finished whatever the hell he wanted me to follow, probably giving credit card info, etc, and I was laughing so hard while I hung up the phone at this laughable plot to cheat people.
