Got this call just now, they called and then hung up, after googling this and reading the comments, I now know to ignore this number. Thanks guys, sorry you were bothered.
Received phone call on 5/24/2011 at 11:28 AM stating that they could help my credit score. Have a sneaking suspicion they could change my credit score - for the worse.
PS - Thanks for paying no attention to DNC list. Filing, yet another, complaint to FCC.
Should say, I returned the phone call from a phone with Caller ID blocked, and listened to the message. The recording stated that that the caller had "partnered" with Lexington Law in a credit repair program. By enrolling, Lexington Law can assist with removing negative reports from your credit score.
The caller was never named. Google Lexington Law... not exactly what you would call a reputable service provider - its "oustanding rating with the Better Business Bureau" aside.
Also, I don't know about you - but I certainly would never hire an "attorney" who illegally solicited for business. Not only is the practice a violation of the DNC, but the ABA has also deemed this type of direct solicitation via telemarketing to be an ethical violation.
Call came in on Caller ID as "Cubellis" which, when I googled the name, it came up as an out-of-business architecture firm in Boston. We have NO relationship with them, although we do have business relationships in Boston. I suspect this is a SPOOFED number, and SPAM.
800NOtes, you need another category for 'Call Type': SPAMMERS/SCAMMERS.
