The voice mail this number left me is from Mark Davenport. Claims he has work for me. I think I've gotten this exact same voice mail before. When you call back they know nothing of you or your business, and Mark will be out of the office. They'll proceed to ask you if you'd like to be sent work by them, if so they need to do a background check for $100 bucks. Pretty sure they got no work though. Scam.

Recieved the exact same phone call today, I called the number back and they Hung up on me.
after researching the phone number I found that it is tied to many companies claimin to be property maintenance companies. They got my info from craigslist add. I signed up through manumitenterprises.com but the same phone number is listed through worksitecenter.com I am under the impression this is a scam.
It is sad to try to scam the working class in this economic climate.
has anyone confirmed that this is an actual scam. I feel like such an [***] for falling for it, I gave them my info and they sent me a link for an electronic signature that I did not click on yet because I googled it 1st and now I am worried that they have enough info to steal my entire life practically. The main reason why I beleived this is real is because I was on craigslist looking for contractors sub-contracting work for landscaping and I sent an email to 2 people in my area about 2 weeks ago and I just figured that this was them responding and my father in law had actually referred me to the 2 people that I had sent messages to originally. Now I'm scared and worried and dont know what to do, i dont know if there is anything they can even scam without my electronic signature they had asked for or what??? I received a voicemail today that I now beleive must've been recorded by a man named Mark, I called back and Shelby answered, I asked a bunch of questions and she seemed to have the answer to everything, of course, she said that she works at home, Mark is her assistant, $99 upfront fee, this is a free service for us, the background check is $37 and $2 for every bank they send a copy of it to in my area that they deal with for forclosed homes, it's a min of 2 leads a week and an average of 5/week, $200 min base pay and goes up according to the job, no bidding because the banks already have a set price they can spend on the property, all materials are provided, evry job we decide to accept we would setup a meeting at the property to sign paperwork for being there, the company working on forclosed properties are covered under the banks insurance which is what caught me off guard, you have 7-14 business days to complete a job depending on the type of job it is, it takes 3 business days for the background check to be completed and received and it will take all together 5 business days to start receiving work orders, that you can accept or deny, all payments are either direct deposited into your account or a mailed check for the completed work, 1099 at the end of the year for sub contractor, yo have the option to eithier pay over the phone or on their website with a credit card and they also offer paypal on there, the website was worksitecenter.com, phone number is 617-606-7052, shelby's extension is 121, I have found similiar complaints about a similiar business with different names for the past 2 months it goes back with a different number, that apparently has been blacklisted now, I think it may be the same, everyone is saying the same thing about it had to come from craigslist. and she said once i clicked on the link for the electronic signature to call her back at her extension and she will send me another link to set up my profile to be sent out to the banks with the background check and once i finished the profile page of our business to send it right back to her. like i said i feel like an [***] because I gave her my dl#, my bank name, routing and account #'s, my name and my address and the business owners name, address and last 4 digits of his social that she said the banks wanted the background check for the person who will be liable if anything goes missing from these properties and to make sure that that person does not have any burglery, theft charges for the past 3 years, someone help me, i need to know if I am in danger and if anyone has actually dealt with this company and not just assumed its a scam or identity theft.
The woman (Jasmine) claimed to be calling from California. I didn't like the uncertainty in her voice when she told me where she was calling from. I also feel that it is a scam. Can't prove it.I know for a fact that you can not do a background check with out the full social security number of the individual.
Yeah, these guys called us too in TN. Mark Davenport left voicemail and said they were really booked up into the future and asked if we wanted some of them.
We Google every phone number that we are unsure of and thankfully we found this and other similar posts.
Thanks for posting this here.
