Have caller ID so I will block this caller they are The Share Group a direct marketing company for Non-profit organizations, Advocacy groups, Colleges and Universities, Political Campaigns and Committees, Charities, hospitals and Medical Centers, Public Broadcasting companies and Religious organizations.
Answering machine picked up, their system began blabbing and I picked up thinking they may offer a "remove from list" option but I was switched to a person who began speaking then disconnected.
my experience is basically the same as those reported - except the caller leaves a message on my answering machine. Apparently The Share Group's automatic caller isn't smart enough to know that it's reached an answering machine because once my phone answers it transfers the call to a human on their end who attempts to talk with me - except he/she is talking to my answering machine. I'm getting 2-3 calls a day now (as of 3/25/08) from them.
