Received a call from this number. It is a recording, even though they have taken steps to make you think it's an actual person, such as the voice saying "Oops, I'm having trouble with my headset". The message also says the caller has been chosen for the call because they have stayed at their resort before, but no company name is given. This has scam written all over it. No legitimate company would do business this way.
My daughter got two of these calls with the location listed as "Newton", which she didn't pick up. But I got a call two days ago from 617-861-6983 with the location listed as "Boston" and it was exactly as Kate described above for the 617-658-1889 number. "I'm having trouble with my headset" and "You've been chosen to receive this call because you've stayed at one of our resorts before."
Broke my rule of not answering unless I recognize the number. Got the same message as other callers (although I thought it was a live person) - "having trouble with my headset" and something about having stayed at one of their resorts in the past (um ... no, I haven't). I hung up.
