I got this call from 617 708 6522. Said they were the IRS and it was the final call and that I owed back taxes. I have blocked it. I am fed up with these scammers
Got a message with lawsuit threat. The IRS NEVER contacts people by phone unless you have already established a relationship. And threat of legal action would always begin with certified letter, which would have complete identifying information, your rights, and procedure. Please tell everyone you know to ignore these calls.
Yes, this is an oversea scammer, they use multipul numbers and want you to call them back so they can work their magic. I have seen this under 617-708-6522, 515-770-1977, and 832-382-9146.
Others may be used as they setup additional scams.
Beware, know that the IRS, FBI, Police, or any government enforcer will not contact you in this way.
This group of scammers will threaten you with arrest and get you worked up with fear unless you wire them or transfer to them immediately an amount of money.
If in doubt call your bank official or the police and explain the call. They will give you the information you need.

Yes, I got the phone call from a SGT David Jerome badg#IRM9977; said I was being sued by IRS rep.; failure to report correct income. He told me that I was audited from 20009 -2013 and that I failed to report all of my income totaling over 6,000 dollars; I bust out laughing. I asked if so what was the income reported. He couldn’t tell me and he hung up the phone. I called the number back 617-708-6522 again. I talked to SGT Harry Jackson, BDG # IRM 1209 who told me the same, I asked what was the reported income again he told me 5,000 which is so incorrect, I just retired in Dec. I laugh. He asked why you are laughing. I told him that you aren’t really IRS are you. I told him I was going to report him to FTC the FBI and IRS. He hung up the phone.
