This foreign (trying to speak (english) I tried to listen, because he said he could see my computer, he said if I was using Microsoft windows, he could protect my computer & wanted me to say yes to what he wanted to do, I told him I had a Computer analysis, and I would have him to check it, He kept interrupting me, so I loudly told him to LISTEN, BECAUSE I WAS GOING TO ASK HIM ONE QUESTION AND HE HAD BETTER ANSWER. HE KEPT ON HTRYING TO INTERRUPT ME WHILE I WAS TALKING SO i TURNED OFF MY COMPUTER AND HUNG UP ON HIM. i WOULD LIKE FOR SOMEONE TO INVESTIGATE. ALSO HE SAID HE COULD SELL ME PROTECTION, MY COMPUTER IS PROTECTED I DO NOT KNOW NAME OF WHATEVER IT WAS THAT CALLED, BUT THE CALL ORIGINATED FROM BOSTON, MA; THE FOREIGNER DID NOT SAY HE WAS A COMPANY, OR ANYTHING, JUST THAT HE COULD SAVE MY COMPUTER.
I got the same call. I'd been getting a lot of calls lately from that number and most have been hang ups but today there was actually someone on the line. He told me the same thing -- that he could see my computer and that it had been infected by viruses and malware that my protection programs could not detect. More than that he told me it was my fault because I had been going to suspicious websites! When I finally over-spoke him I asked why I should believe a word he was saying and all his answer was "vell, you are having a computer which is running vindows operating system yes?" and then he started repeating his schpeal again. I hung up and blocked the number.
The call came in as a recording saying "your debit card has been shut down, press 1 to reactivate" I cut the line and blocked the caller. Another scammer. I don't even use a debit card only credit cards for purchases. Beware.
