This was an automated message from an organization called NTI Work At Home. It gave their website as www.ntiathome.org. On their website, they list themselves as " a 501(c)(3) nonprofit organization, NTI pursues its mission to identify and develop work-at-home jobs for home-based Americans who are physically disabled." It makes no mention of Soc Sec. I pressed the #2 option at the end of the call to not be called by them again. I find this usually works.
NOTE: I used to be a telemarketer for a thrift store, calling for donations of clothing and household items to be picked up. The national Do Not Call list is for companies soliciting for money, and does not apply to companies like these, asking for other types of donations, or for job opportunities or other information they may offer. It is their option to offer a do-not-call list if they have one, (most do,) so hanging up on them does nothing but get you called again. Screaming at them, hanging up, or saying "do not call me," - either on their recording or here on pages like this - does not help. After all, you're screaming at a recording, and they do NOT own or read this website. Don't let them ruin your day.
I have been receiving calls from 627-778-2234 and each and every time it comes in no message is left so i am not sure why they are calling me. I don't appreciate it and would really like the number to stop calling me.
I got a telephone call from this number on 11/22/2010. The caller ID said National Teleco... They were telling me about this Ticket To Work Program for people on Social Security Disability; which, I am. They said I could work 20 hours a week from home. I figured it was a scam and did not reply. I am going to report it to Social Security.
2/14/11 We had the same call and same info. It was an automated message. I don't remember the website address. It was something like tcicentral.org. I will visit this message in the future esp. if the calls continue. Anyone who remembers the website exactly please respond so I can check it out. We are on the do- not call list so should not be getting these calls.I will file a complaint, Thanks
I've gotten that call, and while I don't know if the two are related, I also go something in the mail from SSI regarding the same program. So, the program might exist, but I am not sure if the calls are the from SSI or a scam trying to take advantage of this program.
