Maybe not so.. :) Here is what you can do! Since the politicians are not subject to the DNC, there is a political DNC list.
What I did was this, contacted the parties, asked to be placed on their DNC list .. they will do this when asked. Then, signed up for the political dnc when I found out about it. Since then I have had no calls except ol Newt. I went directly to his web page, tasked them to stop calling me, and gave them the url for the PDNC and told them to use it! The PDNC does appear to work pretty darn good so far since I only had that one call in all these years where it once rang off the hook for all elections.
called my cell 3 times from this number, then twice for 2 other numbers in the span of 2 hours. I'm on the do not call list. I called back and requested the number be deleted but they are still calling. Claim to be from CMS Research. Clearly not a reputable market research firm - they would scrub their list if ethical and had any integrity. If looking to hire a firm do not use CMS Research.
This pisses me off - it's not enough that they bombard my home with flyers both in mailbox and in doorway, creating a litter issue every time I open the door; but they arrive at my house on weekends and evenings, ring bell (sets dog into frenzy) pound on door when I don't respond (never do unless I'm expecting someone) , jamm up email, newsfeed on Facebook - I'm sure it's Walsh team as downtown friends are campaigning for him, but this week alone , in under 6 days, I have received 10 hangups on a private unlisted line a number I don't give out randomly ,tied into my landline/ home office/fax. Every time they call not only is it disruptive (check caller ID) but it leaves the voice -mail- stutter if they don't hang up immediately which forces me to search thru 4 email boxes in search for customer or desirable calls, it disables my fax . The irony is that I was on the fence and because of this incessent canvassing since Mayor Menino announced his retirement I won't cast my vote for Walsh. Besides annoying, he only supports downtown Boston neighborhoods/ issues. None of them care about us who live just west of Boston Proper. Thanks for heads up folks, I will call them back and tell them they've guaranteed my not-voting for them vote. HA, THEY CALLED AGAIN AS I'M PROOFREADING THIS- I LET SPEAKER PICK IT UP AND THEN ended call before anyone could speak.
