They now stoop to using cell #'s so we answer thinking it's someone we know? It's gotten to the point that I now have the house # & my cell # set to a silent ring cause the only people that call are unwanted callers. So the few that would call now just text.

What NERVE--to try and pretend to be a cell phone in order to scam people. I'm blocking this jerk. It's clearly not a friend if he's calling everybody and their mother!
They left a message. It was a woman's voice saying, "Hello?" about 10 times. The fact that they don't say who they are is sure giveaway that it's a scam.
