I got a call from a Ms. Richards saying they were calling on behalf of Kays Jewelers and if I can't make a payment arrangement with them for some absurd amount of more than $2500 that they will garnish my wages and take my car. They claim they know my license plate # and make and color of the car through the RMV and they knew who my car loan was with. They had the wrong info about my car except for the model. She threatened to send a constable to serve me and bring me to court. I just hung up cause I don't know what they are talking about. They call from different numbers and do not leave a message.
I just got a call from this number pretending to be a collection agency, they claim that a complaint has been filed agains me, according to this person the complaint is coming from HSBC Bank for more than $2000.
I never had an account with that bank, so this call must be an scam.
I got a call similar to this one a few weeks ago with a different area code.
