This is one you can actually turn the tables on because they will actually answer the 617-861-4494 number and you can mess with them like they do you. Just call and start asking to speak to different people, but make sure you beat them to the punch and hang up if you are offended easily because they will cuss at you! But I love doing this to these idiot scam artist. Notice when you call the fake conversations going on in the back ground like it is a call center.
I don't find this very funny. They have called my work number today over 300 times. The FTC said I just need to ignore the calls. Hard to do when your job may be on the line.
People from this number have continuiously called me at work to the point that the police are now involved. The switchboard operator has been cussed at, called names, and has been threaten.
Got a call from my supervisor yesterday that this number called and his name was Erik Jefferson. He threaten multiple people at my work to the point where they had to call the police and I called my lawyer. This guy isn't backing down he even threatened the police.
This is a criminal extortion scam operating out of India. They are making the calls utilizing VOIP and the names of legitimate firms to make it appear the calls are originating from within the US. There is NO "company" or "debt" and you will NOT be arrested. They are harvesting and/or buying consumers' personal identifying information from unscrupulous websites like the one you may have filled out an application with, and you need to do whatever you can to protect yourself. This includes: Notifying the FTC: https://www.ftccomplaintassistant.gov/, placing fraud alerts with all three credit bureaus, notifying your bank and employer and letting these criminals know you are aware they are attempting to extort money for a non-existent debt and have alerted the authorities.
