We got a call from this number today at 1:23 pm and didn't answer. The caller ID was MASSACHUSETTS. No voicemail message was left. Out of curiosity I called back (our number is hidden by default on outgoing calls). A very sophisticated computer program answered with a male voice stating that it was Joel Collins calling for the American Veterans Support Foundation. It asked several questions which would make someone believe they were talking to a real person. I replied in Spanish, but it didn't understand and kept talking about different levels of contribution, e.g. gold at $56 or silver at $46. If you agree to an amount, you are transferred to the "records department" which probably is a live person to take your credit card information. This is apparently a scam which must get large amounts of money, because such technology is expensive. The number will be added to our call blocker. I highly recommend such a device to avoid these nuisances.
