Call from "Customer Service" regarding an expiring promotion. The caller was a live person. They never announced which company they worked for. I hung up after determining the call seemed fishy.
Not sure if it's a legit sales pitch, but I can tell you it's a Robo-Call. I have received calls for this on both my cell and home #'s. It is actually a recorded voice that must have had software controlling it so when you initially answer, it makes it seem like you are interacting with an actual person. For example: You say hello and are greeted with a pause then a (non-computer generated sounding) voice says "Oh, hello there. I apologize, i must have been having trouble with my headset...." and then the sales pitch begins. If you try to talk, the voice continues with it's pitch as any other recorded voice with do.
Robo call left no message /I saved the number and blocked it ( this happened right after a call that claimed to be from both the State government and my bank me wanted my social security number !$ ugh
