Same girl Called back with another message today..."I tried to stop by yesterday, no one appeared to be there! I will stip by today between 1 and 3 if i am unable to reach you, i will be stopping hy your place of employment where your supervisor will need to witness." Well my question is, who would be my witness if she were to appear at my home? My large animal that she requested i lock up? Reallly!!! Go to work for a legit business and quit scamming and lying to people!
This number call and it is always a female. I called the number and was told that I owe 3200.00 for a payday loan and threatens that I will be arrested. Threatens that they will show up at my work.
It is incumbent upon them under the law to prove that the debt exists and that you owe it, and that they have the legal right to collect it. You are not obligated under the law to prove that you don’t owe or that it is paid.
Federal law (FDCPA) requires them to send you a letter (US MAIL ONLY) postmarked within 5 days of their first contact that contains their name, physical address, the creditor’s name, and the amount of the alleged debt. It also must contains “mini-Miranda” telling you that it is an attempt to collect a debt and that all information will be used for those purposes. The one other important thing that this letter must also have in it is that you have a right to dispute the debt within 30 days of receipt of the letter and if you do so, all collection activity must be stopped until the debt is verified.

Wow, said I owe the same and I was going to be served, charges filed and could be arrested. They got me for $300 already and the rest in a few weeks. Who do I call? How do I stop them? Any help would be appreciated.:(
