it is a forgery I talked with a represenitive from the FCC he said all legitimate companies observe the do not call list and that most charities no longer use phone requests any more so when you do get a phone call and it's no one you know 100% sure it is a scammer ..his advice was do not answer if you do not know who it is..if you hate hearing the phone ring push the answer button then the end button soon after...so it comes down to this do not answer your phone unless you know who's calling..
Caller ID says Michael Manning. These jerks have called at least 7 times. This time I answered and said "Sheriff's Department" - They hung up. Maybe that will be a deterrent?
Has called about 15 times. I finally answered it a few days ago and the caller asked for my husband. I told her she had the wrong number and she apologized and hung up. A couple of days later I am getting calls again. I answered the call and no one spoke. I said hell twice and finally the caller hung up without speaking. There was no noise in the background. Caller ID always says Michael Manning. POS calls.

Called our landline several times. Caller ID says: Michael Manning. Background sounds [recorded on our answering machine] appear to be a telemarketing call center.
