Same here. I called back and they refused to give me any information after I refused to give them my name. As far as I know, no one from the IRS can call you about owed taxes whether you owe them or not.
Caller ID indicated the call was from San Diego. Man with heavy accent threatening me (did not refer to anyone of us by name) with being brought before a "magistrate" or "grand jury."
