Called multiple times, but no message and no one there when I answered. Finally got someone on line who said they were calling from GW Construction, a La Jolla firm. Reported them.
This number (619)411-9990 calls at least five times a day. They usually don't respond when I answer (I hate letting the phone ring uneccessarily since it bothers my child with special needs). There has been a woman who has responded a couple of times asking whether or not I had any questions about the repair work that was being done on my house (or something similar) which doesn't exist. As soon as I ask them to take me off the list, she acts like she can't hear me and I say it a few times before she hangs up. One time I said to take me off the list and she flat out said no then hung up. Grrrrrr.... Plan on activating my call block on my service just to block this number.
That's usually a correct statement that most people fail to consider. You deserve kudos for noticing. However, there are countries outside of the North American Numbering Plan where local phone companies do not standardize on ten digit numbers. If your phone or caller ID unit has been made for the North American market, it won't be able to correctly display all the digits of some world-wide telephone numbers. It's a common occurrence that digits are dropped either at the beginning or at the end when they are displayed, and you may see what appears to be a faked number.
But the effect is essentially the same whether the phone number is faked or not displayed properly because it is too long -- if it's faked, you shouldn't answer, and if it's a number from overseas the same applies unless you are expecting a call from someone overseas.
