Called at 8:58 this morning. Computer generated voice starts out saying the IRS is suing, at which point I hung up. Call type: fraud scam

Received a computer generated voice call @ 956am stating the the IRS is suing me and to call back. Deleted the voice mail. I have heard that there is a scam of this type going around.

Received a call from this number at 10:25 am Eastern, Feb. 19.  IRS is suing me.  Fraud.

I just received a call from this number as well saying the IRS is suing me. when I called it back, couldn't get through.... I already received a notification that my taxed had been accepted by the IRS so it can't be legit

The IRS does not initiate communications
with a "cold call" to unsuspecting people.
Instead
The IRS always sends a letter, first!

Short answer:
The IRS never initiates a contact via phone.
They always send a snailmail first.
