I almost did the same as you were thinking about. I am so glad that I didn't call them back. I am sick and tired of these callers taking up my time. I get these kinds of calls at least 3 times a day. I let my answering machine take the calls. These people never leave a message but they will stay on the line long enough that I will get a dial tone.
Got a call this morning from this number.Caller ID said Unknown Name. She asked for my deceased husband by name. I said he was not available and asked it I could take a message. She said, 'No. No message.' Don't know who it was or what they wanted. Apparently the call wasn't important enough to tell me the nature of her business.
The man was trying to sell a herbicide called Triple 10 for $99/gal on promotion. Normally $139/gal. Said they only normally sell in drums, but during promotion they were selling in small quantities. Would kill anything but grass and is effective for three years. I searched for Triple 10 on web - found some reports that this is a fraud.
Called me at 5:10 in the morning. These marketers are getting earlier and earlier! I get in the average 13 - 18 calls a day from various numbers. I don't answer- I screen my calls with the answering machine. They all never leave a message. I am getting tired of it!!
Got a call this morning from this #. The caller ID said Chase. They hung up after a couple of rings. I almost called them back ; thinking could be from my credit card company. But I decided to check out the number first. Glad I did from what I see here. Seems like scammers are always trying to get you!
