I am constantly being harassed by this phone number. the people on the other end ask for a person that does not exist. They will not tell me the name of the company or why they are calling, or who is behind it.
Please help me find out more information on this company (so i can indict them for trespassing,larceny by trick harassment, and other illegal activities.)
Debt Collector. Dead air, but they are recording the call. They are checking to see if you say anything, to see if the number is any good, to see if it goes to a voicemail that identifies your name, so they can have one of their collectors call at a later time to work with you. ** IMPORTANT ** NEVER work with a debt collector over the phone. do EVERYTHING in writing through the certified mail and keep copies of all letters back and forth. The first thing you want to do is send a debt validation letter to have them prove it is yours. But before that, you MUST check the statute of limitations-- after a certain number of years, debts drop off your credit report UNLESS you talk to a creditor.... THEN the clock restarts! so be very careful and do your research people.
