I am in the Phoenix area. They originally called from this 623 area code number and an "agent" tried to tell me they were filing court paperwork for fraud. I told him I worked for a police department (true) and if this was a scam he needed to hang up. He continued and told me there was fraudulent activity with my social security number. Lies. I have a credit freeze on my SOC with all the credit bureaus. I hung up on him. Then my phone was blown up with calls from 770-217-3275. After almost 15 calls I turned off my phone for a couple minutes and they stopped.
As mentioned I work for the police department. This is a scam. I see this everyday at work. Hang up the phone and do not answer again. Do not verify any of your personal information or give them any personal information. They are fishing for a victim. If you suspect fraudulent activity with your identity go to www.annualcreditreport.com - you are allowed one free report each year from each of the credit bureaus. Do not use www.freecreditreport.com - it is not free and its a 3rd party company.

Got a call from this number this morning. The recording started in at a point after the beginning telling me that they wanted to hear my side of the story. I hung up.
I recieved a call from this number couldn't get the womans name but she said she was an investigator (did not say with what company) said she needed to get my side of the story. Call back number was 678-456-3121.
