Filing a Do Not Call Complaint
Howdy Folks!
If your number has been on the National Do Not Call Registry for at least 31 days and you receive a call from a telemarketer that you believe is covered by the National Do Not Call Registry, you can file a complaint at the registry’s website at www.donotcall.gov or by calling the registry’s toll-free number at 1-888-382-1222 (TTY: 1-866-290-4236). To file a complaint, you must know either the name or telephone number of the company that called you, and the date the company called you.
Got one from them tonight around 7:25PM EDT [I didn't answer]. They used to call daily from 602-246-1132. I did a reverse phone lookup @ whitepages.com and it said it came back to a J. Smith in Phoenix, AZ. If this is Dearfield Associates, they probably changed #'s because I threatened through BMG to contact their States Attorney Generals offices in both Indiana and Arizona and report them for calling my private cell phone with an automated dialer (illegal) if the calls didn't end by the last of March. I'm gonna have to follow up on my threat I guess.
I receive a call maybe 3 times a week. I don't answer because I see on the caller I.D. that it is no one I know. My phone number is listed on the "Do Not Call" register. They do not leave a message. I wish they would stop because I stop what I am doing and go to the phone to see who is calling.
