This is Discover Cards collection department. They call seven days a week, including holidays, from 8:00 AM until 9:00 PM. If you don't answer, they call from other numbers, with different caller ID, and when the recording starts, they start to say the card holders name, like "Steve, Steve, pick up, it's me". They try all kinds of tricks toget you to answer the telephone. They also use a computer dialer, and sometimes when you answer, the recording on the bot says, "You have an important call, please wait, you have an important call, please wait, you have an important call". This continues until a live person picks up the telephone on their end, and it is a collector. Even after the account has been placed with the hardship department, or you explain that you can't pay right now, the calls continue on a daily basis without fail. If you have a cellular telephone, and you pay for incoming calls, or voice, it may be worth your while to have the numbers that they call fromm, like the one above, or their 800 numbers blocked, as they will tie up your line when it goes into voice mail for long periods of time, and cost you a small fortune!
They called my old work number, which I had never given them. I didn't answer. When I retrieved the message, it was just a click. I'm current with Discover. It sounds like a scam or something.
They keep calling here even after I told them the person they are calling for doesn't live here!
They call at 8:30 am EVERY MORNING, even on weekends, plus several times a day and when I answer they hang up on me. I called this number, and it is discover card
