***A company must be licensed in their state as well as the one they are trying to collect in if two different states are involved.
Some Tips:
*Keep all messages
*Take a picture of your Caller ID
*Keep any and all conversations recorded to your states recording laws, some require they be told, others do not. This can be transferred to a recording device.
*Keep a notebook handy for writing time,date, who you spoke with and what the conversation detailed.
*Check your SOL for your state as well.
*Attorneys need to be licensed as a DC to collect, all DC's must be licensed in their state as well as yours if different.

I KEEP GETTING AUTOMATED PHONE CALLS FROM 623-738-1378 (ERC COLLECTION CO.) REGARDING DEBT COLLECTION. I HAVE NO BUSINESS WITH THIS COMPANY. THERE IS NO PERSON ON THE LINE.
Their recording says you can have your number removed from their system when I called this number back by selecting option 3. I tried this since I am getting tired of their wrong number calls 3 times a day. I will also report this to the "do not call" registry.
I missed the call. The number when called says ERC (no specification of a debt collection) and gets you to a menu. I have no debt. I put the number on my unwanted call list. One more robocall number on my list. This invasion of privacy and tranquility is disturbing. Where is Congress to make such calls illegal so the phone companies have to take action?
This number keeps calling me. It shows up on my Caller ID as "Out of Area" whereas I am in the 623 area code. I do NOT pick up the phone. I am inundated with robocalls from this number and others. I no longer answer the phone unless the caller ID displays a caller I know. Maddening.
