Get called every day, sometimes several times a day.  They never leave a message, and don't say anything when I answer.  They need to stop.

As owner of the house and phone contract owner, woman REFUSED to identify WHY she was calling my step-son.  Said it was private business.  Explained I was the owner and such, and I had a right to know, since he lived in MY house and would be using MY phone--and she got rather RUDE with me.  Told her I was reporting her to the FCC and hung up!

Unless your step son is under the age of 18, they cannot legally discuss this with you unless he has given them permission to.  This is a debt collector looking to collect a debt.  The FCC is not the correct agency to report debt collectors to.  Using the information CWG40 has provided:

You need to send them a certified, return cease and desist calling or "not me" letter (think of it as the best $6.47 you ever invested).  Also send it first class mail in case no one will sign for it.  Make a notation of that fact at the bottom of the letter.  You also need to report them to the proper agencies to which I have provided links to.
