I received a call from 626-214-5939. They claimed that they were a firm called Jason Reed & Associates and that they have a case file on me. They would not say where they were located and who their client was. I asked them to send me a certified letter that states what the case is and all information. The guy I spoke to was Paul Williams and he said no to sending me any information to confirm that there is an up coming litigation court case. It was strange. I asked for the case number and he gave that to me but then the number did not appear to be a court case number. So, I asked if it was an actual court case number and he said it was not but it is their office identification number. The other strange thing is that they said they are going to issue a summons for me to appear in court. I told them that on my caller ID it shows that they are calling from California. Does this mean I have to show up in court in California when I live in New York? Then he said they are a nationwide firm. I said this is not legit, then he hung-up on me.
