These people are low lives and a complete scam. They claimed to be lawyers and were going to sue me for a bogus loan. Asked for the name of law firm so my lawyer can contact them and they hung up..
We just got this scam, both at my work and at home today. Some guy, I think his name was Matthew Rogers (which is also suspect because of the difficulty in understanding just what he said) called pretending to be an attorney from a firm (name I didn't catch) stating that a lawsuit was being filed under my social security number. He would not elaborate any further.
My husband called them back because I knew they would continue to call and he got into a screaming match with them. They threatened all sorts of things and my husband kept pushing back. The last time these people called me (over a year ago), I told them to whistle dixie for it if they couldn't send legitimate paperwork showing monies were owed. They think they will catch you off guard and take advantage of you in a weak moment. One has to be relentless in protecting one's information today.
Last time around, I filed all the necessary paperwork for every single jurisdiction I could find including the local law enforcement, state attorney's general's office and the FBI. I guess I will be doing that again. This is beyond personal, it is now a crusade to stop them.

yes someone been calling me to and i just got off the phone with this guy very nasty telling me that the police gone come to my job and all types of stuff
This guy called me at in the freaking morning! I woke up to this, and I was like "really, WHO is suing me?"
He was like "call this number or you'll face legal action?"
"WHO am I talking to?"
I mean really!!! Next time I get a call from this retrobate, I'm going to talk in a middle eastern accent, just to piss him off. I knew it was a scam when he didn't tell me who was suing me. I thought it was a prank call. Not a fun thing to wake up to though :(
