Same message. I actually called it back and there was so much background noise that it sounded like a call station. I was mildly worried that it could be true because misfiling is not out of the queation for me, so i listen. The lady spoke broken english in a hard to understand indian accent. She threatened all kinds of things including imprisonment, lose of drivers license and loans on my house and back accounts. I asked to speak to someone i could understand and she sent me to her "supervisor" who also had a indian accent, although i could understand him.
He starts off by saying there was an audit that found i had under payed 1952 over the last decade, which of course equates to tax fraud. At this point, it was well past clear that it was a scam, but i wanted to see where it went so i stayed on the line. He then asks me if i knew what tax fraud was and that i did not want that. He then says i have two options: either pay the 1953 plus the 1800 in "late charges" today at the local irs, or they will get on the line with the cops waiting for their orders and i will be arrested in my house. Mind you, the address they had for me was an old address in a city i don't live in anymore. He said so which one do you want to do?  At this point i asked the "agent" his name and the line goes instantly silent.
The part that confussed me was saying to go to the local irs building to pay it. My guess is that after saying you will pay to get the charges dropped he would drop the late fee if i paid over the phone with him.

Same message as above.  Called saying that there was a warrant issued for my arrest, and that my physical address is under investigation.  Terrible.

Same. Message saying they were from the IRS, warrant for my address, house under investigation, blah, blah, blah. Sounded like a recording. The voice changed slightly when it went said to call them back at that number. Started out Indian or Middle Eastern in accent, switched to a hint of Asian. Lots of background noise, like from a call center with an open window. Give me a fat break.

Pretty much same as above.  Knew it wasn't legit when I called back and they were claiming that I was "guilty" of violating "her majesties constitution".  First of all they can't assert guilt without putting me on trial. Secondly, we've never had a queen of America lol.  I googled this number and found this page while he was reading me a laundry list of alleged violations.  He asked me if I wanted to be arrested or handle this over the phone.  I told him that I googled the number and it came back as a scam and that referring to the constitution as "her majesties" didn't sound very American and I doubted he worked for the government.  The phone went silent like I was put on hold and I waited to hear from someone else and eventually I just hung up.  Called my accountant right after to see if he could tell me anything and he told me that it was definitely a scam and also that THE IRS WILL NEVER EVER CALL YOU.  They will ONLY contact you by mail.

Well..
...you'll have a hard time, as the scammers are actually overseas in India/SE Asia!
