Who called from 6262648730

Received a call from this number, was a robo-call telling me "or my representing attorney" to call back "Joseph" at 888-415-4762, ext 1, about a 1099-C filed in my name. First of all, they are trying to contact me at my maiden name. I have been married for over a decade. Second, they are bottom feeding debt collectors who are obviously trying to collect on something that's well out of the statute of limitations. Third, it is ILLEGAL for a debt collector to threaten you with a 1099-C.

"Joseph" and his bottom feeders can get bent.

Called and left a voicemail for a woman named Rebecca, not me. Same as above- telling me "or my representing attorney" to call back "Joseph" at 888-415-4762, ext 1, about a 1099-C filed in my name.

I called back  and wanted to know which creditor and so forth. They would not answer and told me I would not receive the 1099-c form in the mail. I told him to do some research since it is a form that you file as additional income. I asked him to mail something to me and I will not speak to him again.

He called back. I said it again. Mail it have a great day. And again they called but. This time I said nothing.

My finance got a 1099-c form in the mail for tax purposes. I am not a stupid person.

We actually called the 888 number given by the recording last month and it only gave a dial tone. We were called again recently and called the actual number back. The 626-264-8730 led to a male voice (not Joseph) who actually answered. We complained that someone kept calling here for the same reason listed above by "Yermom" for my grandmother. They asked for her social and we refused to give it. They said it was in reference to an "incident" back in 2010. We finally wheedled it out of him that the "incident" was actually a payday loan taken out in my grandmother's name. He refused to give us his name, the name of the company he works for, or the name of the loan place where this loan was supposedly taken out in the first place.
