This jerk just wanted to know if I was the home owner. When I asked this idiot to identify himself, he just hung up. I hate these calls. Please don't give him the time of day!
First this guy says he's with a homeowners association, then he says he's an attorney and then it switches to he's with a home improvement company. Told him I am on the do not call list and he argued with me about that. Raised his voice several times so I hung up. From now on, I don't answer my phone. Sick of all these "home improvement" calls. If I don't see a name and number on my caller ID of someone I know, I won't answer it. Now, I'm going to report this number.
Received a call earlier today asking for my mother, who has been DEAD for 10 years!!!! Told this guy to take her name off his calling list - he tries to tell me he's not calling off of a list. I told him that she is STILL DEAD, and that was not likely to change anytime soon!!! I ended up screaming into the phone "SHE'S DEAD!!" and hung up. This guy has called numerous times before: the last time I tried telling him that he had a wrong number. The next time I plan on contacting the L.A. County DA's office to file charges of harrassment and stocking and maybe even a BIG FAT LAWSUIT!!!!!! THIS MUST END!!!!
I have been on the Do-Not-Call List since before it's activation - I've had the same tel# since 1993!!!!! I get lots of these types of calls EVERY DAY!!!!! I am SOOO SICK OF IT!!!!
I'm really sick and tired of these "contractors" calling several times a week. They do not seem to care when I tell them they are violating the law by not checking the Do Not Call Registry BEFORE they call me.. I've been on that list since the very first day it started and have checked it monthly to make sure I'm still there. This guy, said his name was Stewart Owen, said they've done work for some of my neighbors yet could not name one of them. Said I'm not on THEIR do not call list so that's why getting phone calls. Didn't seem to care about the Federal DNC at all. Gave me 213-327-8620 to call to get more info on his company (which only goes to his own personal wireless phone, straight to voice mail). And calling back the 318-2747 (caller id showed "wireless" for that too) just gave me a "mailbox full" message for A Plus California Builders.
