Just got a call from this number 7:12 PM 3/29/16. Did not answer, no message left. There have been a slew of "cancer fund" calls in the last couple of weeks, I suspect its either the same "charity" or the same boiler room operation behind each call. Number now blocked.
It was a computer voice response unit telling me they are American children's cancer foundation. I was surprised it told me 85% of the money goes to the cost of raising money. They really didn't hear what I was saying. So I gave a very rude name & address. We need a scam Call Type.
I've been getting calls from these people for a few days now. A clue that they are scammers is that I've received calls from two different numbers so far. Not to mention the fact that when you donate to telemarketers, no matter what the cause, they get almost all the money leaving very little for the actual charity.
