I don't even have a BoA card, and all other cc: and mortgage bills are on auto-debit to be paid in full monthly. I'm blocking their number and reporting to donotcall.gov
I had this phone number show up in my OUTGOING phone log. Didn't recognize it, so I thought maybe my phone dialed a random number while in my pocket, or maybe called back a missed call, but this number was nowhere to be found. Not in my missed call logs, or phone book, and I never had any msgs from "them" saying to call. So I was completely confused, and definitely suspicious, when I called them back - only to be asked my phone number I was calling from so they could cross reference it to the account. HUH?!? I guess they dont have caller i.d.? Seems a little too fishy that my phone "accidentally" dialed this number though.
Definitely a scam going on here of some sort, but the people answering that number certainly dont have their method down yet. I could tell right away they weren't with BofA "card services" (or F.I.A card services as I was told).
Ok.... First of all, since when has a collection agency NOT informed people who they're collecting for? Don't you think you would KNOW who the F it is, especially a financial institution as large as them? They're certainly not afraid to tell you who and why they're calling. You owe them $, and just like you are obligated to pay your debts, I believe they're probably under a legal obligation as well - to state who they are, and who they're collecting for. Especially when making such claims against an individual. Think about it - you need to know who to pay and whether or not they're legit, right? Otherwise its just harassment. Do you normally just hand over money to complete strangers??? (Oh, and where's that $20,000 that you owe ME? Dont make me send Vinny and Tiny over again...)
That being said, these people could've told you anything. I mean after all, it would be kinda hard to pull of a major scam without telling a lie or ten, wouldn't ya think? And now that I HAVE thought about it, it's probably YOU answering the calls at this mystery number, and behind this whole thing in the first place! lol!
Seriously though, you seem awfully intent on trying to convince people of this on this forum... How much do they pay you to monitor this thread and put a damper on any suspicions that may come up from time to time? Probably not enough, but that wont occur to you until you've sat and thought about it in a FEDERAL PRISON for a few years... So, I'm sorry, tell me again why you BELIEVE its Bank of America??? Or does BA stand for Bullsh!t Artist? Or maybe, as the case may be with you, it stands for Bad Actor?
BTW, It's NOT Bank of America... but I think you DO know that much. But, if you still want to insist that it IS, please give me something a little more substantial than the... "I believe this is collections for Bank of America. I lost my job and I haven't been paying my Bank of America credit card" B.S.
I'll say it again... You have to run a MUCH tighter ship than that if you plan on making any money. Your game is weak, but I've already told you that - and even that is giving you too much credit.
Although, I would like to know just one thing.... How the hell did you get that number to show up in my outgoing call logs anyway????
(This post was all in fun...sort of... But,no harm intended... TTYL)
