I got a text msg from this phone # 626-716-9042 inquiring about my adds on kijiji. When I saw this post stating they are a scammer I messaged them to leave me alone.
I placed an ad for our $3,000 massage chair on Kijiji today, and this number texted me and asked me to email him. I didn't recognize the area code, so I looked it up. Thought it was super sketchy that someone from California would want something that expensive and willing to deposit that amount into my PayPal right away. Complete idiot.
Recieved a text from this same # wanting to purchase a furnace I posted on Kijji. Thought I'd look up the # to see where it was coming from since it was a strange area code, and found this page!!! Thanks to whoever started it!!!
Just got a text message from a guy wanting to buy my sofa in kijiji...using PayPal.... my instinct told me right away it was scam (normal people try to negotiate first) and then I found this!!!! Thanks people!!
