they probally got ur info off of internet all you have to do is pay a few dollars and then you get all kinds of info its retarded cause then people get scammed and they let the websites continue giving out all this info that they should not allow
I received 2 voice mails from this number. A man with a foreign accent claiming to be Officer Jack Williams threatened to have his "investigators and the cops at my house and my job" if I did not return a call to him. When I called back the man refused to explain what this matter was about, however wanted personal info which I refused to divulge. He called my phone several additional times and I had a friend answer the phone. The man again claimed to be an officer. My friend informed him that local police were going to be notified at which point the man began swearing and threatening to have us arrested for "not helping his investigation".
This person called my number and my work number claiming to be with a law firm that was suing me. He harassed my boss and kept calling her back till she would take down a number. I returned his call and he simply answered the phone hello. I told him what I was calling about. This is when he told me he needed to be able to contact my attorney, but would not tell me about what, then said he was going to read me my addidavit. I asked what affidavit I had and he hung up on me. This is a bogus number.
I had been getting the same calls last week. Same scenario. Same threats.
I threated back....said I was calling FBI, police, attorney general and FCC. My husband had a little more fun with them when they called his phone. He just used profane names and laughed at them.
As of today, they have not called, and they did not call over the weekend.
I am fully prepared to call the police if they keep calling.
It's a scam. We need to repost to any social networking and all you belong to, to spread the word.
I have posted this to my FB status so no one else will be vicitimized.
I have received numerous calls from "Officer Daniel Jones" who is supposedly some sort of police investigator with the Andersen Law Firm. He's called my office number repeatedly and also my cell phone claiming I am involved in a serious legal matter and that if i I don't return his phone call to 626-789-8392 someone will come to my place of employment within half an hour. This is total BS. I looked on the attorney general's website and this is a popular scam right now. These people threaten and harass you, and somehow they had the last 4 digits of my SSN!! I've filed a complaint with the AG's office about this phone number. Don't believe a word of it. It's just very annoying that they keep calling my office. GRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRR.
Wow, I am getting the same call here. I am first getting a phone call from Jamica 876-777-98 (while I live in FL) and then some dude I can't understand him that well but he did say he is from the Anderson Law Firm and that if I didn't return his phone call I was going "to face great consequences" but add a thick Indian accent to that. I have no idea who these people are. I am not giving them anything if they don't identify themselves. And now I am hearing people getting cursed at?! Oh heck no...yet I think I was an idiot enough to leave a message and my number at the 626-78-8392 number. But I didn't leave anything else. Another scam...how did they get the last 4 of our SSN?!?!?!
