I received a similar call for ME and I have done no business in California. I'm guessing it's a scam of some sort. It came up as a private number when I received the call and the message instructed me to call this number. I will NOT call this number back. I have never received written communication from this business and will never answer their calls. ALL companies must also communicate in writing for their debt collection attempts to be legal. Period.
got a call from a blocked number on my answering machine saying a court case was about to be filed against someone (who doesn't live at this number) and that I need to call 626-863-7009 within 4 hours. I figure it is a debt collector who can't figure out that the person they are looking for gave them fake information. So I called that number a few days later and gave whomever answered the phone a hard time and told them whomever they are looking for does not live at this phone number (which is true). The person that left the message said they were with Legal Support Service but the guy that answered the phone said the company is Davison & Associates. could have been Davidson & Associates though. I hope they call again so I can have an excuse to use less "professional" language.
I received a similar message from this number saying a complaint has been filed against me. I've been racking my brain trying to think of anyone or anything that I could have done wrong but nothing comes to mind! I don't plan on calling them back but was curious if anyone ever called them back? Thinking it might be a scam....
