Look up phone number 615-200-8028 too. This person uses the 615-200-8028 as a texting number.  This person has been trying to rent housses she does not own.  She goes by a couple of alias names.  She used Bethany Phillips when she scammed my son.  Another person said she used the alias of Janie Timberlake.  She gave my son this number (630-216-9680) as her lawyer.  It is a google account using VoIP and the number is registered out of Big Rock, IL.  This person is scamming people trying to rent houses she has nothing to do with.  She poses as a deaf person saying she can only text because she is deaf.  She scammed my son out of $520 for a deposit.  My son was too trusting and didn't know bad people are doing this crap.  I hope this info helps someone else from getting scammed by this lady.  There are way too many red flags that most of us would see but not a young trusting person like my son I guess.

Guess who's still at it? I just got a care.com job offer from a deaf woman named Bethany Philips. She wanted my name, address, birth date. She wanted to send me a check for $3,000 to "get some things done" before she moved to my town. And then after that I could be her babysitter. (This was all before we would even meet!) I knew pretty quickly something was weird. But I didn't want to totally close the door yet, since she said I could choose if I wanted to just do one of these two jobs. When I told her I wasn't comfortable handling that amount of money but would happily babysit her son she never responded (she had been responding very quickly). The phone number she used was +1 (812) 269-7078 and the email she used was [email protected] (another clue!). I don't even want to know what she would've done with all of my information had I been gullible enough to fork it over within 3 emails!

Bethany Phillips just tried scamming me.... Used the excuse she was moving to my area that she was deaf and needed help paying bills and would direct deposit money into my account. well after i found these pages I told her about what I found and she told me how she was a God fearing woman and wouldnt screw anyone over but couldnt tell me 1. where she was moving to in cleveland ga (A road, a subdivision, near a school anything) and then asked me my name, address, phone number and social so she could put me on her "pay roll" thank goodness I am not a naive person. I feel so bad for anyone who has fallen for this SCAM. It makes me sick that people are out there like this and that they really screw over people.. She kept telling me how she was going to pay me all this money and how she was a stock broker and was from chicago.... BLAH BLAH BLAH. Do NOT TRUST THIS LADY/MAN/WHATEVER. She will also send emails from [email protected]

She didn't use this phone number - she used (at first) 708 669 9544 (and then) 912 289 7362 - but she emailed me saying she got my information from Care.com as well and, you all know the story, scammed me out of so much money that I have to close my long standing account with a bank that I have really enjoyed using. Once I found out the check she sent me to 'pay bills' for her was fake and sent her a message about it, she first ensured me it would be taken care of by the next morning and then when it wasn't, ignored me for a week. I filed a police report (which won't do me any good at all) and went to my bank to inform them I'd been scammed. They can't do anything for me, but they're holding me personally responsible for the damage she did. I have a 5 year old daughter and a baby on the way, so when I was offered when I thought was the perfect job opportunity, I jumped on it. She said she was hard of hearing, she was a stock broker in Chicago, she and her 6 year old son Jason were moving to my area soon, etc., etc., you all know what is apparently her regular routine. We emailed and texted for a month before she sent me a check. There were red flags, of course, but I wanted to do something for my family and my current job is only part time. The check came from the address of a church in California and was from a different name than she had been using, but I figured it was someone on her "payroll" that she had talked about in our emails. The number she used at first was an Illinois number, so that didn't bother me. The number she last used to contact me was a Georgia number. She sent me the check, I deposited it, it cleared, and so she gave me my first assignment; send $1,300 to her mother's caretaker in South Carolina. I did that before the bank realized the check was fake, so that money is completely lost as well as the exact reason my account has to be abandoned, as was the last check I got from my job. She contacted me again after ignoring me for a week, telling me she was sincerely sorry and seeking god's forgiveness and that she even had a friend who wanted to rectify my bank account's negative status using his inheritance from his parents, if I would just give her every single piece of pertinent information regarding my account. Of course, at that point, I knew not to even think about doing that. I told her I couldn't do that after she sent me a fake check and ignored me for a week, to which she simply said, "I said am sorry about all that Ok"
Of course, with no income from me, and bills falling more and more behind, it is absolutely not ok. Not in any way is this ok! Nor will it ever be. I didn't think until today to check the email address in Google, which is how I found this page, but I did check the address and the phone numbers as soon as I was told the check was fake and I knew I was going to the police and my bank. After having read everyone's posts here, I'll definitely be sending 'her' another message, letting them know, again, how low I think they are and that they absolutely cannot fool me again. And, I will do what I can to make sure this doesn't happen to anyone else. No one, except maybe Mrs. Bethany Philips, the heard of hearing stockbroker, deserves for this to happen to them.
