Then he asks if I can hear him ok. I always respond, "Joe, I haven't been on a job site. Please remove my number." I get a call a few days later from another number...
Several calls about furthering my education, when I tell them I'm happy with my career they hang up, they've called every day and sometimes several times a day for over a month. Very annoying!
I answered the call and I got "Hi this is Joe calling on a recorded line. We're calling because you recently inquired about Social Security benefits. Can you hear me okay." When I reply with "Yes, I can hear you, but..." he hung up. I'm not even 30, why would I be inquiring about social security benefits?
They wanted to get your voice recorded saying "yes" so they can do whatever evil they do and claim that you approved it by saying yes. They warned you that the call was being recorded, making it more difficult for you to dispute that you agreed to whatever.
