person called, asked my name but didn't give their name.. very rude. once I continued to ask their name, a name was
given, however they never would say what was the nature of the call or where they were calling from.
At that point I became annoyed because I couldn't determine if this was a bill collector or someone fishing for identity theft information. They terminated the call when I did not confirm that I was the person they were asking for.
They didn't leave a message. But I know it's about a medical bill I am trying to pay off. I told them I will only pay a certain amount per month last week. They said that was unacceptable. But I stuck to my guns and said this is how much I'm paying you per month; take it or leave it. It is very important to pay off your debt, but agencies don't have the right to bully you into paying what they want you to pay.
