Getting relentless calls from them 5 times day, nver lwve a message. Phone rings 3 times and always starts at 8:45 a.m. on the dot and lst call is at 10: 30 p.m. Am blocking. Might be Transworld, do owe an $ 18 magazine bill. Have blocked 4 other numbers from them recently due to incredibke harassment over bills they said I owed and do not ...was redy to talk to a lawyer about them it was so bad.
Got a call from "Michael from Transworld" and asked for my name mispronounced. Michael needed to verify the last 4 digits of my Social Security # for a private business matter. They gave me four numbers and asked if that was correct. I ignored the numbers and kept asking for more information. They were insistent and I gave them a different name. They then wanted to end the call and wished me a good day.
I didn't hang up and kept listening: Michael said "not ready to give up on that one yet" while the line was still open. I was silent and kept listening, Michael said "Hello" a couple of times. I still waited and he hung up after 45 seconds of silence.
Calls at least 3 times a day. I have been getting snail mail from Transworld the last week for a bill collection of $17.64 for a magazine subscription. I have been trying to write to this magazine for 4 months (seriously - I email them at least 2x a week) and never hear back from this magazine. We NEVER got this magazine and now we're getting a bill for it in collections. I went through this with Gevalia coffee and Transworld a few years ago - they sent me over 350 snail mail letters and called at least 5 times a day, every day, to collect $56.00 on coffee Gevalia said we received and never paid for. This went on for THREE Years. I didn't even know who Gevalia was, let alone ever ordered from them. Gevalia said they had no record of me ever ordering from them but declined to call Transworld off of my throat saying that they don't keep any records after two years so maybe it was an overdue bill. I asked if it was reasonable to be harassed by Transworld for a debt that they have no record of, three years after the fact? They had no interest in helping me and said ionce companies send things to collection agencies they have nothing to do with it. I ended up having to get a lawyer to tell Transworld to back off. If a company ever needed to be looked into for shady practices and harassment, it's Trasworld.
