Interesting twist here - Caller ID said "LUPUSFOUNDATION". Now of course I find this odd since Lupus bangs its head against our call blocker daily for weeks via 888-445-8787 whenever they are doing their clothes drives (which apparently started in my area again this week). So, is this a scammer trying to muscle in on the action? Has Lupus learned to actually use a proper Caller ID? Either way, I don't care. The dimwit didn't leave a message, so they have not figured out that simple piece of phone etiquette yet. And thus, this number shall now too be forever blocked.
If this 631-230-0872 is a scammer, then it is a sophisticated one. I called this new Lupus number back to give a piece of my mind, after seeing caller ID. It was "set-up" like so many "legit" call back sites, with several "press -- for " etc.
I chose and pressed "2" to cancel pick up, and got an actual female proficient in English.
COULD BE THE CONSTANTLY ANNOYING 888-445-8787 IS THE LEGIT ONE!!
Whether one or both are legitimate, LUPUS WILL BE THE LAST "DISEASE" I WOULD EVER DONATE TO!!
Scammers. They call every morning. I called and recorded the conversation and placed it on YOUTUBE. And the person admits to calling every morning. If you look at the website: http://callername.com/63123008 the number is marked "UNSAFE."

The call woke me up this morning! I hate these calls!!! I answered and I didn't say anything and there was no voice at the other end so it must be a voice activated robo call. Caller ID said LFA Pickup. Even if it is legit, I will never agree that charities should be exempt from DNC. They are just as annoying as any other solicitation.
