Automated message called my workplace, a school, and said that they were Power Home Remodeling and were calling regarding setting up an appointment that had already been pre-discussed, and xxx-xxx-xxxx is the phone number to call back. This so-called "pre-discussed appointment" isn't possible since this is a school and not a home.
Also, my parents actually dealt with Power Home Remodeling once at their home - and when they decided against using the company, they continued to harass my parents by calling the house phone and cell phones repeatedly (even though their number got blocked! they would call from other phone numbers to get around it!) and by showing up at our house and ringing the doorbell repeatedly, going so far as to look in our window once to see if anyone was inside.
Long story short, it's an automated phone call, it's a home service that calls businesses, and they harass people. Do not answer any phone calls from this number or this business if you can help it.
Power Home. I did do replacement windows with them (and they're good) but since then must me all me once a week or two to try to sell me more products. I don't pick up.
After telling them several times that I'm not interested they still call. They use canvassers saying that they just completed a house in my area and asked if I needed any work done and that they would set up an appointment for a free, no strings attached estimate. Problem is that they street they mentioned does not exist in Nassau Cty, the estimates take up to six hours and that an estimate can drop 25 to 40 percent from the first number quoted. Till they get to "What do I have to do to get you to accept". Recommend that you read the mostly negative comments on their own website. Do not get involved with them. I'm sorry that I thought about scheduling afree estimate.
They knocked on my front door (I usually never answer to strangers) a couple of weeks ago, and were selling windows, roofs, siding, etc. I set up the appointment for the free estimate for windows only. The free estimate took a long time, but the salesperson was professional. I really liked the design of their windows but I am not proceeding with replacing any of my windows now due to other priorities. I just received a call from them on my cell, I did not pick up and they did not leave a message. I never call anyone back that doesn't have the courtesy to leave a message.
