This number comes up without any name totally blank on caller is ,I immediately blocked it using my call blocker device.
Have no idea if it's a legitimate wrong number but with no name shows up you know it has to be a scam.
631-450-2580...called me, no name on the caller ID box, just blank. Odd, I've never seen that happen before...Not sure what it could be, as I am near the 631 area code, but since I don't recognize the #, there's no chance I'm picking it up...
Just received a call from this number. It came up as Lindenhurst. The caller stated that he was from the Police Conference of NY which represents over 25,000 police officers. I told him I didn't take telephone solicitations & hung up on him. Elsewhere on this site, I am told that that this is a huge scam. There are multiple complaints about the shady aspect of these calls from PCNY - how they can't confirm any information, would only arrange to come & pick up a check, refused to send out printed brochures without a donation - all signs of a huge scam. The most interesting thing was how many people wrote in to support PCNY - and they all said the exact same thing. 4-5 different supporters wrote their comments from a script and each & every supporter used the same exact words. Talk about a scam!!!!!!!
Just called me. Caller ID said "Lindenhurst NY". Local to me so I answered but it was a recorded voice for some police charity. Don't trust those calls so I hung up.
